Long Island is home to many quality local artisans, purveyors, and small businesses, and we're proud to partner with the following:
GROWN IN LONG ISLAND
FreshDirect proudly partners with a number of local farms to source produce that travels fewer miles, supports small family enterprises, and arrives fresher to you. When you see the "Grown in Long Island" designation on an item, you can know that you're getting some of the finest that New York has to offer.
GREAT GUN OYSTERS
Great Gun is raising some of Long Island's best-tasting oysters, which have a sharp brine up front that leads to a sweet, buttery finish. Working with marine scientists from Stony Brook University, Great Gun is at the forefront of responsible oyster farming, contributing greatly to the sustainability and health of the waters along the Fire Island National Seashore.
SATUR FARMS
Situated on the North Fork of Long Island, Satur Farms is dedicated to growing the finest vegetables and culinary ingredients. Owned by the husband and wife team of Eberhard Müller and Paulette Satur, the farm has a steadfast commitment to sustainable farming and specializes in leafy vegetables, heirloom tomatoes, root vegetables, and herbs.
MONTAUK BREWING COMPANY
What started in 2012 as a basement brewing operation among longtime friends has grown to embody the spirit of Montauk. All of Montauk Brewing Company's beers honor a homegrown sense of adventure and an active lifestyle, as well as the simple pleasures in life. Their red brew-barn is just steps from the surf-right where it belongs. There, you can Come As You Are and celebrate the no-frills good life at New York's easternmost brewery.
CHANNING DAUGHTERS WINERY
Spanning 25 acres of vineyards, Channing Daughters Winery is perfectly located at the center of the South Fork for cool Atlantic breezes to dance through the grapevines, creating conditions ideal for bountiful harvests of fascinating grape varieties. Their Scuttlehole Chardonnay is a FreshDirect staff favorite!
WÖLFFER ESTATE VINEYARD
Perched on a rise overlooking lush vineyards to the east and the gently rolling Hamptons landscape to the west, Wölffer Estate Winery is unquestionably one of the most beautiful on Long Island. Their elegant sparkling dry rosé cider is made from New York State apples and every single sip tastes like summer.
DEER RUN
Deer Run Farms is a family-run farm in Brookhaven, Long Island that grows some of the most luscious greens we've ever tasted. We're on a first-name basis with farmer and owner Bob Nolan, and thrilled to help support their farm by selling their lettuce, spinach, cabbage, and kale directly to you.
WICKHAM
Wickham's Fruit Farm is a historic, family-run farm, set against the sparkling waters of Peconic Bay. It's one of the largest on the North Fork, with 200 acres dedicated to high-quality fruit; every piece of fruit sold is guaranteed. Wickham's Fruit Farm partners with the Cornell Cooperative Extension to advance new farming techniques and conservation initiatives.
WELLS HOMESTEAD ACRES
The Wells family has been farming the same land in Aquebogue, Long Island since 1661. When farmland is passed down through generations, it's not only the property being inherited; it's a priceless 350-year wisdom of the land that ensures the crops will thrive. The Homestead's produce is widely regarded as some of the finest in the Northeast.
